The importer processes data in batches to help manage larger migrations.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Supported Data<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Posts and pages.<\/li>\n<li>Custom post types.<\/li>\n<li>Taxonomies and terms.<\/li>\n<li>Users and user metadata.<\/li>\n<li>Comments and comment metadata.<\/li>\n<li>Attachment records and attachment metadata.<\/li>\n<li>Navigation menus.<\/li>\n<li>Selected WordPress options from a predefined allowlist.<\/li>\n<li>Custom and plugin database tables selected explicitly by the administrator.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>Important Information<\/h4>\n\n<p>Physical files inside the wp-content\/uploads directory are not included in the migration package. Copy the uploads directory separately when you need to transfer media files.<\/p>\n\n<p>Migration operations are restricted to users with the manage_options capability. AJAX requests use WordPress nonces and capability checks.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Security<\/h3>\n\n<p>DevThrow Migrator includes safeguards designed to help protect sensitive information during migration.<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>User passwords are never exported.<\/li>\n<li>Session tokens and capability-related user metadata are excluded from export and import.<\/li>\n<li>Imported option names are restricted to a predefined allowlist.<\/li>\n<li>ZIP extraction checks file paths to help prevent directory traversal.<\/li>\n<li>Only recognized migration files are extracted.<\/li>\n<li>Custom database tables must be selected explicitly and use the current WordPress table prefix.<\/li>\n<li>Download requests require capability checks and nonce verification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3>Notes<\/h3>\n\n<h4>User Accounts<\/h4>\n\n<p>When an imported user does not match an existing account, the importer creates a new user with a generated password. Those users should use the standard WordPress password-reset process to establish their passwords.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Media Files<\/h4>\n\n<p>Attachment records and attachment metadata can be migrated, but the actual files stored in wp-content\/uploads must be copied separately.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Database Tables<\/h4>\n\n<p>Custom and plugin tables must be selected explicitly.
